Jesus said to him, “I don’t tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven. Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants. When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed himten thousand talents. But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down and knelt before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’ The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
“But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed himone hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!'”So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’ He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due. So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done. Then his lord called him in, and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me. Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’ His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him. So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.

(2a) giving them freedom and a new nation. Jesus delivered all humanity from sin and death, giving us freedom and founding the church the body of Christ. Moses was in the wilderness for 40 years, working as a shepherd, before God called him back to Egypt to deliver his people. Jesus, the Chief Shepherd of our souls, fasted 40 days and 40 nights before beginning his ministry.
(2b)
– To choose to identify with others
-To identify with the Jews, oppressed and downtrodden, when all the power of Pharaoh’s palace is yours for the taking, requires tremendous humility.
-Recognize that everyone has something to contribute. Listen to the ideas of your coworkers.
-It ‘s not about self- promotion. It’s about helping others. It’s about teaching others. It’s about helping others achieve their potential. It’s about the mission.

This story relates how Hosea has three children, a son
called Jezreel, a daughter Lo-Ruhamah and another son
Lo-Ammi. All the names are described in the text as
having symbolic meaning, reflecting the relationship
between God and Israel . Jezreel is named after the valley
of that name . Lo-Ruhamah is named to denote the ruined
condition of the kingdom of Israel and Lo-Ammi is named
in token of God’s rejection of his people. Although the
latter two children are not specifically said to be Hosea’s,
James Mays says that this is “hardly an implication” of
Gomer’s adultery. In 3:1, however, it says that she is
“loved by another man and is an adulteress”. Hosea
is told to buy her back, and he does so for 15 shekels and
a quantity of barley. Exodus 21:32 establishes the value of
a maidservant at 30 shekels so Gomer’s value is
diminished. She is not mentioned again in the book.
Some analysts, following Felix Ernst Peiser, have
suggested that this marriage is really a figurative or
prophetic reference to a union between the ” lost tribes of
Israel ” with the people of Gomer, following the Assyrian
deportation.
The relationship between Hosea and Gomer has been
posited to be a parallel to the relationship between God
and Israel. Even though Gomer runs away from Hosea
and sleeps with another man, he loves her anyway and
forgives her. Likewise, even though the people of Israel
worshiped other gods, God continued to love them and
did not abandon his covenant with them.
According to Kirsten Abbott, feminist interpretation
regards the story of Hosea and his relations with his wife
Gomer as a metaphor for the conflict between a Covenant
Theology (Israel violating the covenant relationship with
YHWH) and a Creation Theology (YHWH will undo the
fertility of the earth in response to Israel following other
fertility gods).

8a)
James taught that if anybody lacks wisdom, that person must ask God who gives it generously without reproaching. James taught that whoever asked from God must ask in faith, not doubting because a person who doubts is like the wave of the sea, that is, driven and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.James also taught that if anyone was suffering, that person should pray and if any was cheerful that person should sing praises.
He said if any was sick, that person should call the elders of the church to pray over him, to anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer of faith would save him. He said the Lord will raise the person up and if he or she had committed any sins, the Lord will forgive the sin. James told the members to confess their sins to one another and pray for them to be healed. James taught that the prayers of a righteous man has power and is effective. For example, he said the Prophet Elijah was a righteous man whose prayers were effective. He said Elijah was a man just like men of today but he prayed that the rains hould cease for three years six months and it was so. When he prayed again for rain, it came pouring on the earth, bring back life.
