Be considerate when using your smartphone. Text if possible, and be low-key and quiet when you need to make or take a call. A show up when you RSVP – and don’t RSVP until you’re absolutely sure you’ll show up.
Do not push your diet on others. Talking about it is fine, but only when it is truly passive and non-assertive.
Always help clean-up when you’re at a dinner party or an actual party.
NEVER use a text message to communicate extremely serious news or information.
NEVER take pets with you around town while you run errands (or at least do so very rare)
Always make sure you’re the only person who can hear the music coming out of your earphones or headphones.
NEVER ask people to bring food when you’re organizing party or a get-together.
Never post confidential messages , information or images to social media networks
Never force anyone to watch, read or do the same or do the same things you do. Again, talking about it is fine, but don’t be pushy or assertive.
Don’t be the person who always laughs or talks too loud.
Always split the bill equally when dining out (or at least genuinely offer to do so). Don’t crash a party with an uninvited guest (s).
Always hold doors open when there’s someone right behind you.
Don’t check or text twitter while you’re part of a dinner party.
Always sit quietly in the back if you cannot help being late for a class, meeting, or an event.
Be courteous of other human beings – and even more courteous of those who are less fortunate .
Offer to wait for the next elevator if you make it on but there’s no room for someone else.
Don’t rush for the exists after a movie ends or after the door on a bus opens. Instead, exit when it is most convenient for you and everyone else.
Don’t push food or drinks on people when you know they’re on diet
Don’t interrupt people when they are talking.
Always thank the driver when you ride in a bus, taxi, uber or lift
Don’t take up more than one seat when you travel on planes, trains or buses.
