According to news, there has been rumour that the Senate has allegedly approved the bill that was passed on by the Presidency for increment of NYSC allowance by 100%. Although, NYSC has not released any official statement on this. Hence it has not been officially verified.

Few days back, during the DG’s visit to the various Orientation Camps, he told the corpers to be in good conduct as their allowance increment is still awaiting approval.

Just yesterday morning, ABC Newspaper released a tweet on their tweeter handle which reads “ PMB led administration raises NYSC Allowance to N49, 800.00.”

Although, we cannot ascertain the authentication of this news, however this will be a welcome development if it becomes official.
