I feel this is a good official topic to begin my Jamb series . Now, Jamb stands for Joint Admission and Matriculation Board. That’s the full meaning of Jamb. Now, let’s see other things you need to know about Jamb.
Jamb is an annual Examination conducted across all States in Nigeria. The examination is purely computer based and scheduled at different dates in different centers approved for all Candidates. It has two options which are Jamb UTME and Direct entry. See more about that here.
JAMB
Jamb Registration: Registration in Nigeria is announced yearly. The registration usually begin around December or early in new year. Candidates are usually given about three weeks or more to do their registration.
Examination Hall : The jamb examination hall is AC tight and highly supervised. The examination is computer based and you are timed to answer specific number of questions. The computer goes off immediately your time is over.
Subjects Registered In Jamb: Candidates are required to answer questions on only four subjects in the examination. The Use of English is compulsory while the three other subjects depend on the course you have chosen to offer in the University. See Jamb subject combination here .

Release Of Jamb Result: The results of Joint admission examination are released online few days after the examination. The results are also checked via the Jamb profile .
